Save the date: September 13th. Lakes 10K, 5K and all new "Heartbreak Hills Half-marathon".
We rely on Athletics Ireland (AI) to manage our registrations. You can go directly to our section of the AI website from here, using this link: https://membership.athleticsireland.ie/clubpage/Lakeshore_Striders_A.C.
Registering via AI can be confusing. We have created two step-by-step guides for navigating the AI website.
Step-by-step guide to using the Athletics Ireland website to join or renew your senior membership.
Before you register, please be aware of the following points:
Juvenile membership is open to children that turn 8 or years old (or older) this calendar year.
Note that because we have limits on the number of Juveniles we can support, we allocate memberships for Juvenile members on a first-come-first-served basis. We maintain a waiting list for Juveniles whose membership we cannot yet accept. At the moment, we have reached that limit; you can still register your child through the Athletics Ireland website to be placed on the waiting list.
Please do not show up for juvenile training if you are not a member or have not made prior contact with the juvenile secretary.
Parents of children under 10 years of age will be expected to remain in the vicinity of training for the duration of the session unless otherwise agreed with the coaches.
We have Codes of Conduct for Children and Young Athletes and Parents. Please make sure that you and your young athlete are aware of them. Our coaches and leaders also adhere to a Code of Conduct.
We are acutely aware of the trust you place in us. In association with Athletics Ireland, we have instituted a range of policies and procedures to ensure the welfare of our young athletes. Explore our policies here.
